Tom Middleton

To the untrained eye Tom Middleton is just another DJ. Beard, box of records, bounces behind the decks. You seen one, you've seen them all, right? Wrong. You see Tom isn't just a DJ. He's a scientist; a meticulous technician with a thirst for all musical forms from breakbeat to baroque.

Researching each and every project with eagle eyed glee, Tom approaches every venture, from productions to DJ mixes, with the attention to detail that's usually reserved for the likes of architects, surgeons, and engineers. Not to mention a sense of humour.

ATB

Well known for his first single "9PM (Till I Come)" as well as his eight studio albums, five "in the mix" compilations and four DVDs, ATB is one of the most famous international artists of electronic music well known all around the globe. Voted on rank #11 at the last DJ MAG voting, holding rank #4 of theDJlist.com for more than two years now, he is one of those DJs who always is as close to his fans as possible, to present them his music live and directly.

This all lead to Andre becoming one of the most important producers and musicians for electronic music of the last decade. Together with Bryan Adams he stood on stage at Rock in Rio; he remixed pop legends like A-ha and has travelled the whole world as a DJ to get in direct contact with his fans. We're excited to meet him again when he returns to Electric Zoo!

Dirty South

Dirty South's foray into DJing was by improvising with his old NEC Hi-Fi and mixing with the tape decks. Eventually he built a proper set up, and in 2004, Dirty South was born. Since then, he has been nominated for both Grammy and Aria (Australia) awards and won the "Best Producer" trophy at the 2007 inthemix top 50 awards. He currently ranks in at number 59 on the 2009 DJ Mag top 100 DJs list and has given the remix treatment to some of the most recognizable names in the music industry including U2, Snoop Dogg, Tracey Thorn, Depeche Mode, David Guetta and Josh Wink. In between his heavy touring and producing schedule, there has always been time to do a yearly mix CD, and Dirty South has put his name down to compilations for labels such as Ministry Of Sound, Toolroom Records, Cr2 and Sony/BMG to name a few. We can't wait to see what he has in store for his Electric Zoo debut!

Major Lazer

Super producers Diplo and Switch have collaborated with some of the world’s most revered artists, from MIA to Lil Jon. As individuals, they are two of the most respected producers and remixers working today with successful compilations, EPs, and record labels to their credit. Now, the duo collaborates with their most mysterious and revolutionary artist to date. Major Lazer draws from Jamaica's musical tradition, having recorded his first LP in none other than the Tuff Gong studios, to bring dancehall bangers that move the body and educate the mind. Armed with Lazers for arms and a manifesto that destroys the forces of evil burrowing beneath conventional society, Major Lazer brings the classic sounds of 80's dancehall into the digital age, representing both the past and future of dance music. Needless to say, we're super psyched to have them destroy our Electric Zoo Main Stage this year!

Benny Benassi

The dirty and cool, sweaty and smooth electro sound of Italian DJ/producer Benny Benassi scored worldwide success with "Satisfaction" in 2002. With his cousin, the producer and musician Alle Benassi, things just got better and better. The album "Hypnotica", the side project "Benassi Bros" and the album "Rock n Rave" and a series of remixes including, in 2009, tracks for Flo Rida, Madonna, Shakira, Kid Cudi and many others. Benny has won tons of prizes and awards around the world and continues to tour the five continents with his unique style. In 2008 Benny and Alle won a Grammy Award for the remix of Public Enemy's "Bring The Noise." His new single, featuring Kelis, App and Jean Baptiste, produced by Basic Studio, Benny and Alle's new company, is due for release on Ultra Records worldwide, soon to be followed by an album. We can't wait to experience his return to Electric Zoo!

The Chemical Brothers

The Chemical Brothers are set to release their seventh studio album, Further, on June 22, 2010 on Freestyle Dust/ Astralwerks. This album is the band's first to be released with corresponding films made specifically to match each of the 8 audio tracks. The films will be included on an iTunes LP and special edition DVD.

As well as an eight-track album, Further is the band's first proper partnership with long-time visuals collaborators Adam Smith and Marcus Lyall. Visuals for Further have been created to correspond with each track on the album and have been planned during the recording of the record.

Nearly three years on from the release of their GRAMMY® Award winning and fifth consecutive UK Number 1 album We Are The Night, Further is the culmination of nearly two decades of psychedelic exploration, an immersive collection that finds The Chemical Brothers at their least-restrained and most-melodic best.

We're honored to have them headline Electric Zoo 2010.

Grum

Grum's rise to musical prominence went like this: not long after he produced his first track, The Hype Machine calculated he was the second most blogged act in the world (behind Radiohead). Grum grew up amidst Scotland's fascination for techno and trance, and also became massively influenced by Daft Punk, The Human League and Stuart Price. The result is what he calls "a real mash-up of French house, Italo-disco, new-wave, and soft rock." Features on leading electronic music blogs like Discodust earned him remixes for Late of the Pier, Anorak, and Tronik Youth. His blissful, bass-heavy first single "Runaway" was picked up by Aeroplane for their Mixmag covermount CD and featured on the play-lists of Pete Tong, Zane Lowe and Annie Mac. His second single, the infectious and driving "Sound Reaction," is "a mixture of rave and electro with a hint of disco." Perfect for Electric Zoo!

His tracks like "Breakwater", "Mad Money", "Shogun", and the reinterpretation of "Man With the Red Face" have all been top sellers and award winners. If you are a fan of dance music and an avid club goer, there is no doubt that you have come across the sounds of Funkagenda at nearly every night out.

Laidback Luke

Luke is laid back about everything except music. After a staggering jump of 19 spots since last years Top 100, Luke ended up at the 27th position in the DJ Mag DJ Top 100. His latest track "Till Tonight" is out on his own label Mixmash Records. The track comes with a stunning remix package by MSTRKRFT, Ferry Corsten and Tom Trago. Next to that "Laidback Luke Presents Super You&Me featuring Avicii" is the first 2CD mix compilation released on the Dutchman's own imprint. The first CD is mixed by Luke, the second is mixed by Swedish super talent and fellow Electric Zoo artist Avicii. Super You&Me, Luke's own event, which is all about having stupid fun with your friends and dressing up,  was one of the best events of the WMC 2010 in Miami. Super You&Me events already turned cities like Dusseldorf, London and Amsterdam upside down. Together with his events, gigs, tracks, mixes and remixes for artists like Depeche Mode, MSTRKRFT, Moby and many others. Laidback Luke is conquering the world like no other and we're excited to witness it this year at Electric Zoo!

Moby (dj set)

Moby has been making music since he was 9 years old.  He started out playing classical guitar and then went on to play with seminal Connecticut hardcore punk group The Vatican Commandoes when he was 13.  He started DJ'ing after leaving college, and was a fixture in the late 80's New York house and hip-hop scenes.

He released his first single, "Go" in 1991 (listed as one of Rolling Stone's best records of all time), and has been making albums ever since. His own records have sold over 20,000,000 copies worldwide, and he's also produced and remixed scores of other artists, including David Bowie, Metallica, The Beastie Boys, Public Enemy, among others.

He has toured tirelessly, playing well over 3,000 concerts in his career, and has also had his music used in hundreds of different films, including Heat, Any Given Sunday, Tomorrow Never Dies, and The Beach, among others.

Moby works closely with a variety of different charities, including the Humane Society and the Institute for Music and Neurologic Function, and in 2007 he launched mobygratis, which provides free music for independent film makers.

Moby's album 'wait for me' and 'wait for me! remixed' is out now through his own record label, little idiot.

Boys Noize

Berlin's Boys Noize, a.k.a. Alex Ridha, is 26 but already has a decade's worth of music-making and DJing behind him. At 16, he started DJing for the likes of DJ Hell and Felix Da Housecat. In 2003, Boys Noize was born, with a mutant techno sound and early releases on International Deejay Gigolos, Kitsune and Turbo. In 2005 his remixes of Bloc Party and Kaiser Chiefs became ubiquitous and he found himself on bills with Soulwax and Erol Alkan. His official remixes have also included Depeche Mode, Snoop Dogg, Marilyn Manson, Sebastian Tellier and Late of the Pier. His 2007 debut album "Oi Oi Oi" was followed up in 2009 with the keenly anticipated, experimental "Power." This year, Ridha has become a sought after producer of note, having worked with Kelis, Black Eyed Peas and Gonzales--proving that he has one of the brightest futures in electronic music, not the least of which includes playing the Main Stage at this year's Electric Zoo!
